the dark black, green and brown painting–where is it now

It may because I was talking to a woman about rabbits and particularly black rabbits recently. Maybe it’s because I painted many rabbits this year. Or it may just be because rabbits are one of the things I love. But from the early stages of this painting,

I saw a rabbit in the lines and whorls.

I waited, though, not trying to solve too quickly, wanting to be open to other possibilities. I worked some more, then watched and waited some more.

Yesterday I went with rabbit. But I also saw a person in the waiting shapes.
