Above are two recent pet portraits that I finished and delivered to happy customers. There are 3 (8″ x 8″ watercolor) of the dark dog but the customer picked her favorite (the seated one) from those choices. The American Eskimo dog piece is 14″ x 11,” also watercolor on paper, that was a commission from Portfolio Art Gallery in Columbia, SC.
Coming up in July, I’ll be Featured Artist for July at the Joyful Jewel in Pittsboro. The show will be called “Summer,”and the pieces are mostly landscapes done in the summer time, in various places.
I will have a small reception on Sunday, July 1st, from 1 – 3pm, at the Jewel. This happens to be First Sunday in Pittsboro AND Pittsboro’s Summer Fest!–I hear it’s big time. Come and say hi!
It looks like my blogging is going to be a monthly post as I turn more attention back to journaling. Lots to process in my family’s health and mine. I am also trying to decide how I want to use social media and website, really.
I am on instagram (shannon.bueker); that’s another place to see new work or works in progress. Some day soon, the website will get an upgrade, I promise!
ciao, Shannon
